Shipping & Delivery
Stone is heavy, valuable and unforgiving of a bad journey, so
delivery is arranged for each project rather than run off a price list.
HOW IT WORKS
When a piece is confirmed we agree the delivery route, the packing, the
timing and the cost with you in writing, as part of the quotation. That
includes who receives it, whether machinery is needed to move it at your end,
and what happens if the site is not ready.
Lead time depends on where the material is and what has to happen to it. A
slab held in India and shipped uncut is a different timetable from a piece
recovered, cut thin and finished to order. We will tell you the real dates,
including the uncertain ones, before you commit.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
Someone should be present to receive and inspect the delivery, and the
material should be checked before it is installed. Once stone is fixed, a
transit fault cannot be told apart from an installation one.
INTERNATIONAL
We ship outside India. Duties, taxes and customs clearance in the destination
country are the buyer's responsibility unless the quotation says otherwise,
and we will say so plainly in the quotation rather than leaving you to find
out.
