Grown inside underground caverns near Spain / Italy, where dripping, mineral-laden water built this banding the way a candle builds wax, one pass at a time. It is scarce enough to be spoken of before it is seen. Underhand, it is cool, dense, and quietly reassuring. Lit well, highly translucent cream, glows warm brightens the whole room around it, rather than simply standing out within it. Built for backlit ceilings and lamps — the surfaces a space is designed around, not simply finished with.
