There is no shortcut to Arabescato Cervaiole. There never was. Only time, pressure, and Carrara, Italy, working without an audience. The transformation took place in total darkness, beneath Carrara, Italy, over a span of time longer than the existence of most species that have ever lived — limestone becoming marble, one degree of heat and one century at a time. The result is white with bold arabesque grey veining: pale as the first light of morning, before colour has fully arrived, the kind of detail a camera can capture but never quite explain. Rare enough to matter, available enough to build with — this is the stone for flooring, wall panels, or stairs, the detail a space is designed around rather than finished with.
