A soft, translucent form of calcite, banded by trace mineral impurities as it crystallised in slow, successive layers — soft enough that it is rarely offered at any real scale. It is the kind of material a quarry mentions only once it is already gone. It feels composed and even underhand. Lit well, soft translucent sky-blue banding holds a depth that shifts slightly depending on the angle you view it from. Reserved for backlit panels — the details a project is remembered for long after the rest is forgotten.
