Somewhere in Italy, geology did something it rarely repeats. Blue Roma / Azul Roma is what was left behind. It began as seabed — the compressed remains of ancient marine life settling in layers beneath Italy. Then came the heat, and the pressure, and the slow, patient rewriting of that seabed into marble. What you're left with is grey-blue field with silver-white veining, blue the way the deep sea is blue, somewhere past where sunlight usually reaches, exactly as geology arranged it and not one degree different. Only a handful of blocks like this surface in any given year. Once they're gone, this exact pattern disappears with them — reserved for luxury bathrooms or backlit partitions, the kind of surface a room is built around, not added to.
