Location: China · Stone: Marble · Rarity: Very Rare Somewhere beneath China, ordinary limestone met heat and pressure it could not resist, and did not stay limestone — it recrystallised, grain by grain, into something else entirely. It is the kind of material a good stone merchant sets aside before it is even listed. Cool and dense underhand, the way only true stone ever is. Hold a bright light to deep black with faint white vein and it does not shine so much as deepen — darkness holding its own against the glare. Reserved for banding and bathrooms — the details a project is remembered for long after the rest is forgotten.
