Chrysocolla
Semi-Precious Stone
A copper silicate that forms only in the weathered upper reaches of copper deposits — its turquoise-green is the same mineral chemistry that colours aged bronze, captured here in solid form. It is vanishingly rare — the kind of find a quarry sees once in a generation. Cool and smooth underhand, the way water feels just before it turns to ice. Under bright light, turquoise-green with copper matrix seems to move rather than simply reflect, like shallow water over pale sand. At home on backlit panels and feature work, exactly where a room asks to be noticed rather than merely completed.
