Durango Travertine Marble
Marble
Location: Durango, Mexico · Stone: Marble · Rarity: Very Rare Formed in the same slow, geological furnace beneath Durango, Mexico that turns sediment into marble everywhere on Earth — except here, the impurities present at the time gave it a character that cannot be repeated. It is scarce enough that it rarely appears twice on the same project. Smooth and cool, almost soft to the touch despite its density. A bright light passed over cream with fossil banding settles into it gently, without the glare a darker stone would throw back. Belongs on flooring and cladding — the kind of application that gives a material like this room to be seen properly.
