This banding is a record of groundwater moving through caves near Iran / Türkiye over centuries, each layer marking a separate mineral pulse. It is scarce enough that most who work in stone have only seen it in photographs. It has a quiet warmth to the touch, unusual for stone. Lit well, warm amber-gold translucent banding takes on the exact colour of late afternoon light, held permanently in place. At home on backlit panels and reception desks, exactly where a room asks to be noticed rather than merely completed.
