Location: Hubei, China · Stone: Marble · Rarity: Rare Somewhere beneath Hubei, China, ordinary limestone met heat and pressure it could not resist, and did not stay limestone — it recrystallised, grain by grain, into something else entirely. It is uncommon enough that most collections never think to carry it. Underhand, it is cool, dense, and quietly reassuring. Lit well, bright white with soft grey drift brightens the whole room around it, rather than simply standing out within it. Belongs on flooring and cladding — the kind of application that gives a material like this room to be seen properly.
