Marron Fonce
Marble
Location: Morocco · Stone: Marble · Rarity: Very Rare Deep beneath Morocco, mineral impurities were folded into recrystallising limestone as it became marble — the exact veining you see here is that folding, frozen in place. It is the kind of material a good stone merchant sets aside before it is even listed. Smooth, heavy, almost silent underhand. Under strong light, dark brown with cream vein absorbs more than it reflects, a surface that seems to swallow brightness rather than bounce it back. Suited to flooring and feature walls, the places where a single surface is allowed to carry an entire room.
