This banding is a record of groundwater moving through caves near Puebla, Mexico over centuries, each layer marking a separate mineral pulse. It is the sort of material that gets reserved before it is even fully cut. Underhand, it is cool, dense, and quietly reassuring. Lit well, green-cream banded translucent brightens the whole room around it, rather than simply standing out within it. Reserved for backlit panels and decorative work — the details a project is remembered for long after the rest is forgotten.
