Grown inside underground caverns near Iran / Türkiye, where dripping, mineral-laden water built this banding the way a candle builds wax, one pass at a time. It is rare enough that entire years pass between finds. Underhand, it is cool, dense, and quietly reassuring. Lit well, pure white translucent, minimal vein brightens the whole room around it, rather than simply standing out within it. At home on backlit partitions and lamps, exactly where a room asks to be noticed rather than merely completed.
