Rhodochrosite
Semi-Precious Stone
A manganese carbonate that grows in concentric bands the way a tree grows rings — each ring a separate pulse of mineral-rich water, deposited layer by layer deep within Andean silver veins. It is so scarce that its arrival, not its price, is what collectors track. Smooth and dense to the touch, with none of the fragility its blush colour implies. A bright light across rose-pink concentric banding warms the whole surface from within. Built for inlay and backlit accents — the surfaces a space is designed around, not simply finished with.
