A fibrous, crystal-clear form of gypsum, named for the Greek moon goddess for the way it seems to hold light rather than simply reflect it. It is rare enough that entire years pass between finds. Smooth and cool, almost soft to the touch despite its density. A bright light passed over fibrous translucent white gypsum settles into it gently, without the glare a darker stone would throw back. Built for backlit partitions and art panels — the surfaces a space is designed around, not simply finished with.
