A rare feldspathoid, close cousin to lapis, owing its royal blue to chlorine trapped within its structure — the white lacing is simply the calcite it grew around. It is rare enough that entire years pass between finds. Smooth, dense, faintly cool to the touch. A bright light across royal blue with white calcite lacing deepens it, the way the sea looks different depending on how the sun falls across it.
