Marble

Every room has a focal point. Statuario Extra AAA (block-select) is what happens when that focal point took millions of years to arrive. It began as seabed — the compressed remains of ancient marine life settling in layers beneath Carrara, Italy. Then came the heat, and the pressure, and the slow, patient rewriting of that seabed into marble. What you're left with is chalk white, sharp charcoal directional vein, white the way freshly fallen snow is white, before anything has touched it, exactly as geology arranged it and not one degree different. Only a handful of blocks like this surface in any given year. Once they're gone, this exact pattern disappears with them — reserved for bookmatch walls, islands, or stairs, the kind of surface a room is built around, not added to.
