Location: Nghe An, Vietnam · Stone: Marble · Rarity: Rare Deep beneath Nghe An, Vietnam, mineral impurities were folded into recrystallising limestone as it became marble — the exact veining you see here is that folding, frozen in place. It is not rare by accident, simply not something every quarry bothers to cut this well. Underhand, it is cool, dense, and quietly reassuring. Lit well, bright crystalline white, high density brightens the whole room around it, rather than simply standing out within it. Belongs on flooring, cladding, and sculpture — the kind of application that gives a material like this room to be seen properly.
