Ziarat White
Marble
Location: Balochistan, Pakistan · Stone: Marble · Rarity: Very Rare Deep beneath Balochistan, Pakistan, mineral impurities were folded into recrystallising limestone as it became marble — the exact veining you see here is that folding, frozen in place. It is the kind of material a good stone merchant sets aside before it is even listed. Cool and faintly powdery underhand at first touch, then perfectly smooth once polished. Under bright light, white-grey with fine grey vein seems to hold the glow rather than merely reflect it. Belongs on flooring and cladding — the kind of application that gives a material like this room to be seen properly.
